Title: Scottish Bloc
Post by: peterherd on February 09, 2022, 11:29:57 am
Hello!

Very much a generic post to advertise and encourage engagement in Scottish Bloc. I thought many of you would be interested and some of you might contribute.

ScottishBloc is a community run platform dedicated to sharing development, news, and creative content about bouldering in Scotland. It aims to support the community with a focal point in an expanding Scottish bouldering landscape. It's a place to share new problems and venues, collate extant topos, as well as provide a canvas for creative content. ScottishBloc aims to celebrate Scottish bouldering and to do so in an environmentally-responsible and socially-inclusive manner.

If you've got news, topo's, commentary and creative content you think Scottish Bloc could feature, please send them to news(@)scottishbloc(.com)

If you'd like to further support the cause please spread the word, like/share the output and let us know how it's going.

www.scottishbloc.com

Cheers,
Pete

Work in progress... If anyone fancies a roadtrip to "log a bog" to add to the map, we'd be grateful!

I made a topo for a lovely field of boulders on Mull a few years back. It sits unloved on a Google drive. Happy for it to go up on the map if you want to add to your empire out west? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YAvGTw6P4WHySHKmR8BajKOf8kmN-l0k/view

I've also logged in many bogs. My fav is the Applecross village community one. So (w)holesome.

Is there any intent to migrate any of the old Scottishclimbs.com stuff across?

It's not really our content, so I don't think we can, unless the original site owners/content creators want to allow us to use it?

I'm sure if you spoke to any of the climbers involved who are still contactable, they wouldn't mind.

Feel free to use my Clova stuff. And Muchalls, although that's currently inaccessible.

Ha!  Myold (shitty, useless) domain www.scottishbouldering.com must have lapsed and now https://sites.google.com/site/boulderscotland/home seems to be the redirect...
