does anyone have any tips, usually i leave them until the 'black puddings' can be picked off, but i am urgently seeking a solution to allow fulll service to be resumed in the next day or two. i have lanced it with a heated(and cooled) needle but only small amounts of blood come out and maybe it even refills.? i have also contemplated the effects of keeping pressure and seeing if it empties. the lumphammer incident was a couple of days ago now and it is still bulbous and quite tender, i'm thinking of two holds in particular which maybe particularly compromised, any feedback welcome, yrs gratefully neil

Radical solution, but sterilise a needle and then thread a bit of cotton through it. Cut off so you just have a coupleof bits of cotton sticking out, which should wick out moisture / blood and cover with a plaster to keep clean. Leave it till it dries out. Works with normal blisters too.

aleady feels like i could slap the top flatty with confidence, not sure if the area is going to graft back. but its looking much better for tomorrow/tuesday.
-
have taken the thread out(not wanting it to heal in) not sure if that is correct, but its not filling up again yet.

good one on 'dans finish' a while back dave, enjoyed the little vid

I normally wash the cotton with a bit of dettol and leave it in. Stings a bit at first, but dries it out nicely. Remove with tweezers once skin has dried out.

done a couple pull ups, feels real good

lets hope robins has had a lump hammer incident too
