Title: Transgenic, Hyning Wood Silverdale - is it fixed?
Post by: thekettle on October 21, 2021, 09:48:35 pm
Shortly after checking it out last winter I saw a hold had broken off this (Jack Palmieri commented on UKC logs) so put it on the back burner until reattached. Does anyone know whether it's been repaired yet? I'm missing a bum-scraping sideways crimpfest from this winters' agenda..

Not sure.

But…. Top tip (from Vickers), put a bit of cardboard on the edge of the pocket, otherwise you will have a numb index finger for about a month!

 Good tip from Vickers, will have to try that it sounds much better than taping and sacrificing friction on the rest of the problem.
I'm quite happy to reattach the missing hold myself tbh if I can get my hands on it.

Any idea if this did get fixed? Was there today and it felt very bunched up at the end, even for me.

I couldn’t see any repair job so I wonder if there used to be a higher hold at the finish?

I've not been to check it but I assume it's not been fixed. Jack will be the guy to ask if you have his deets (I don't sorry).

I don’t, sadly. No bother as it’s still perfectly climbable, I was just curious!
