Simple is good, adds an air of mystique as in "WTF is UKB?"

"wtf is ukb?" might work as a logo :)

Add a box and a background:

I quite like the font but this is showing my woeful design skills :)

Why not something a bit different?

For example, maybe nowt on the heart, but UK bouldering (what is UKB?) descending down the sides from the armpit?  Excellent for when in vicious crucifixes?  Weird it up, like.   And something where you would wear your stripes.

Wouldn't bother with borders etc, just the text.  Dark on a light shirt or vice versa?  Or do we get to choose??

Aye, like the simplicity of the top one - I'd certainly have one. :goodidea:

Post by: dontfollowme on March 17, 2008, 10:44:49 pm
I'd have one probably in a light colour rather than dark.

I actually like that idea, btu I'd go all out and have

fcukbouldering.com

Also works with other climbing websites.
Title: Re: Something really subtle and simple like this?
Post by: Bubba on March 20, 2008, 08:46:09 pm

I was thinking of having a small "ukbouldering.com" logo at the bottom of the shirt in small text then just have the "ukb" as the main logo.

not sure about the fcuk style thingy, i guess i'll put it to the vote.

What colours do people like? I'd prefer black than white but will have to consult with a print shop to see what other colour blanks they can use.

i'll try to come up with some different ideas, or feel free to post yer own as my design algorithms are creaky right now.

i guess it all depends on wether you want to be subtle or outrageous.

ukb
or
ukb that's bollocks

Some good bright colours for photo-ops would be good, black and white are rubbish on the grit and the lime  ;D

How about "Houdini is a c*nt"?

The more subtle ideas seem to work best.  A nice light blue may be nice.   :-\

Pink would be better.

But we're sick of hOU and crass t's...

Post by: Oli on March 20, 2008, 09:25:31 pm
I'd second the light blue idea.
Subtle would be good.

How about adding a very small "mick ryan is still a cunt" somewhere as well?  :devangel:

I was actually going to suggest

UKB

A Mick Ryan free zone since January 2004!

but thought that was both unsubstle and unnecessarily provocative.

No to black and/or white - darker blue would be my choice but red, orange and yellow also work - any colour that works with grit and lime really and though pink might be good for the lower grade punter to get potential photo opportunities in the bag I am not that desperate to be "famous"!!

White lettering on navy is always class.  (Still reckon a UKB on your chest is naff though...)

I liked Houdini's armpit idea, for something a bit different.  Otherwise the very first plain design is nice.

Obviously, I want pink.  Or baby blue.

How about    ukb rocks

Could have it on the front left breast, and on back of right shoulder in discreet lower case italicised (?) script

and, at risk of over prescription suggestion, perhaps orange text on navy blue t....would look class and fade nicely too

[prepares to be heckled and ducks]

And on the back you culd have a load of drawing of rocks with ukb written on them.

Sorry I'm being really crass, I'm going to apply for a job coming up wth slogans for car window stickers.

On the back you should really have 'Dead Fit Bloke Who Goes Climbing' then we'll know who to follow around and take pictures of when they remove the shirt!  8)

It's because I'm not drinking tonite, that's why.  Totally out of sorts . .   W/ out my regulation two bottles (minus a glass for the floor) I never was gonna get it.

I'll take a claret-coloured T, please.  Hide the stains . . .

Bolton?  Near Stuttgart?

He didn't say Bahn Thai or Rafters or Ashoka or Bragazzis or any of the other places I'm much more likely to be found in.

Yeah, I thought that odd too.
