Title: Shelter Cliff Field Boulders (Beast of the Field etc.) access
Post by: andy_e on September 30, 2015, 08:13:15 pm
Words from Stubbs:

EASTBY (SHELTER CLIFF) BEAST IN THE FIELD AREA ACCESS.
We went to the Beast block this evening and were approached by the land owner. He was OK with us climbing there, but wants anyone who wants to climb there to ask permission at the farm first. The farm is Stub Fold Farm, the entrance to which is back towards Eastby village, west of the boulders.

I visited Studfold farm yesterday to ask for permission (as it started raining) but was met by the farmer's son who said he couldn't grant permission because his father was on holiday. I explained the situation and agreement we have but he wouldn't budge. I slapped him around the face and ran off. (Actually, I was very polite and didn't make a fuss.) The farmer is apparently back on Sunday... Anyone else had any issues?
