Title: What HD video camera?

Its over twelve years since I last bought a video camera, I paid 1,200 back then. I realise things have moved on and got a lot cheaper!

Can anyone recommend a reasonable HD camera, nothing fancy, just good quality image. Mid price range.

Is use a Panasonic HDC-SD60:

Record's in full 1080 x 1920. Great compact little camera, cost me £300. I'm no good with camera's and just use the "auto" settings but get good results.

Cheers, yes thats more or less what I was looking at. Does it have an input for an external mic?
