Title: Peak panoramic
Post by: chris20 on July 18, 2016, 10:39:11 pm
I might be in the market for a large panoramic print of stanage or burbabge, anyone got any suggestions/experience of a good photographer/website to get one from?

I have a few 6x17s of stanage/burbage area that would print very big pretty easily. Not that a 800px wide web jpeg does justice to a 500mb scan:

I'll throw my tatty hat in the ring (1024 x n, but the originals are larger)...

This isn't a panorama, nor is it of Stanage or Burbage (taken from Higgar Tor) but I find its quite evocative of a delightful evening on the grit edges looking down the Hope Valley...

I might have some more but those are the ones I found quickly.

Friend of mine may have some, look up Tom Hodgson on Twitter/Farcebook and drop him a query. If he's not got anything to hand I'm sure he won't mind me offering his services to go and take a few for you...

How about something more contemporary?

Looks more like Staden than Stanage or Burbage. :clown:

I think Tessa Lyons (http://www.tessalyons.co.uk/) drawings are really good...

Thanks, there's some stunning pictures.  I'm going to get my partner's opinion as it's a present for her.

I do really like Tessa's stuff, it's definitely an option
