A question for those of you with a better understanding of boxing than myself (which, frankly is most people).

In both this fight (Fury vs Usyk), and one of the Fury vs Wilder matches Tyson Fury narrowly lost on points despite being knocked down by his opponent and barely making the 10 count. Does the points scoring in boxing account for a knock down and referee count, if so how, and if not why not?

Keenan Takahashi has made the first ascent of The Gold Standard on the Golden Boulder in Bishop. This feels pretty significant; proper LGP stuff. The face was originally climbed by Sonnie Trotter and named Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, and so named because one literally had to stand on a partner's shoulders to reach the start holds. What a line!

Also doesn't Bishop look like a stunning place (for those like me who've not been).

A scary bit of stress corrosion on a brand new A4/316L stainless ring in Leonidio. A reminder that equipping routes near the sea is problematic.

I do not like welded rings with visible welds, and definately don't like when they are welded directly to the hanger. It is just begging for trouble. I almost always double check them because I don't trust the judgement of equipers who use them.

Exactly the argument has to take into account the entire context of a fighters career.
