Inherited a new run about.
So looking to shift my Fiat 500. It’s a banger in the truest sense. It’s served me well getting out to the Peak & gyms in Sheffield.
92,000 odd miles.
WN58YXY
FIAT 500
Colour Silver
Fuel type Petrol
Date registered
10 November 2008
MOT valid until
22 July 2023
The banger bits.
Front right door handle came off. Still have it. I get in via front passenger door.
You have to use the key to unlock it. Old school key in door method.
Front left window doesn’t open
The good bits.
Starts first time, every time.
Good on fuel.
No obvious rust issues.
Fits a moon saturn pad in the back if rear seats are down.
Collect from Sheffield.
Message me if you’re interested.
Price is very negotiable.

Mate just sell this to carwow/webuyanycar and you’ll probably get like 1k for it and they’ll snap it up quickly.
-
Lowest Autotrader price for similar age and mileage is showing at £1895 from a quick search.
If you stick it on Facebook marketplace for £1500 i'm sure it would be gone in a couple of days. Either that or eBay 3 day auction with a £1000 starting price...
-
It'll be worth more than £200 for parts (even if it is a shitbox). Try a FB owners group.

;D

I'm guessing £200 is a typo Gav?
If it isn't may I register my interest...

There too many psychos on FB marketplace & eBay. Heard too many tales saying that despite clearly describing everything that’s wrong with an item & pricing at a very low price, they still harass and abuse you for a dodgy’ sale.
I can’t be arsed with that drama in my life. Or fuckwits coming around my home wanting to avenge their £200.
Clearly I think highly of everyone on here.

This. Just accept that even if you are crystal clear on everything, including accurate mileage etc, they will still pay you a bit less than what they originally offer. Either way, it's hassle free and will get you a lot more than the £200, with no comebacks.
-
I’ve only sold a car once on eBay and it wasn’t fun. Had a guy threatening to send his brother round to beat me up, because I said I’d already sold it but he thought he had a better offer. Ridiculous. Not worth it the stress for me.

I actually checked and Carwow quoted 1700 with his registration number so knocked around 700 off to cover for the damages

Even so, i expect they will try and take a couple of hundred off when they collect. Still quids in tho'

This is why I suggested the owner's groups. They're mad but in a different way... "Project Car" £200... :worms:
If not just sell it to TTT, he's been after a shed like this for a small age now and it'd no doubt provide us all with plenty of entertainment if that steed turned out to be Italian.

Whoever buys this now is automatically under suspicion of flipping it for a quick grand.
Or get it converted to an electric drivetrain and you'd have a £25k piece of road art on your hands. I reckon there's a big market coming in the next 10 years for bog-standard ordinary cars/vans with drivetrains converted to EV - markII golfs, vauxhall astras, shitty old vans etc - unremarkable reminders of our motoring past with cutting edge battery tech underneath.
-
Webuyanycar just quoted me £1k for this so I can only assume it comes with a dead body in the boot.
-
Well., you’ve all lured me to we buy any car. Based on those numbers.
-
DM-ed you (assuming they still work)
-
Dear All.
The car has been taken. They offered me £700. Too good to refuse.
Sorry if anyone has been disappointed
