Title: Varnished plywood
Post by: turnipturned on October 26, 2021, 09:54:13 am
Hello,

Does anyone know what climbing walls use to varnish plywood. To get that gloss like finish, like at Last Sundance?

Thanks in advance.

Dan

Might be some sort of yacht varnish, that's what was recommended to me when I got my first board.

I went with this which gives a similar finish to what you find on the Depot manc boards:

I should've applied more coats. Yacht varnish seems extreme!

Thanks Paul, looks like this might do the trick.

Thanks, will bare that in mind for my future sailing ambitions!
