I've always had clicky joints, but my knees and ankles are getting ridiculous. When I walk up stairs it sounds like a somoeone playing with some clackers (best comparison I could find).
Is this just approaching middle age, or cause for concern?

This happens to some boulderers when they get to a certain age, i remember a mate telling me about creeping up on his teenage son that was smoking in the garden, and his son heard him walking up the path creaking

Would anything like cod (finger) liver oil help?
I was taking Glucosamine for a while, but stopped.

Apparently some people are just prone to it. All my joints crack, even my hips and I'm only 20. In fact my hip once cracked so loudly in a physio session that the physio thought he'd broken me. All the advice I've gotten is that as long as theres no associated pain everything is ok.

My ankles click like mad at times. Creeping down the stairs early in the morning, trying to not wake the kids and the cracks are like pistol shots. (quiet quiet pistol shots).
