I've had a twitch in my middle finger for a few weeks now and it's getting really annoying. I've got a very slight tingling down my forearm too. It's doesn't hurt in the slightest, just feels strange. I think it could be a repetitive strain injury or something. I haven't climbed much for a few months and just trying to go a bit more often now. The twitch doesn't seem to affect the strenght of the finger too much
Has anyone had this before? If so what was it and how do you get rid of it?

No but I am a Jungalist.
Nothing that I don't usually do. I do like to crimp almost every hold if I can - always have. Don't really warm up properly either, which I'm going to make sure I do now. The tendons in my forearms feel very tight.

Not a doctor in any vague notion but it sounds like a trapped nerve.

Shit, might have to start using the other hand then?
I've heard it could be a symptom of carpel tunnel syndrome - I fucking hope not tho!

Whilst it may well be something more serious (and I would urge you to get it checked out) I had something similar in my left ring finger / arm which lasted on and off for a couple of weeks. It seemed to get better when I climbed on it and worse when I was at work (sat at a desk, using PC) but went away on it's own before I got round to going to the physio.

Yeah I might leave it another week to see what happens and go to the doctor if no improvement. I've never really had an injury before so it's a bit disconcerting. I plan on going to the wall tonight so I'll see how it is after that

Have it removed and coated in gold.
Galileo's middle finger has had the same treatment and no longer twitches.

sounds like a good idea but I don't want it to be used as a candle like that!
