Anyone else ever tried this to keep their hands dry? In general I mean and for the purpose of better friction on rock. I suffer from pretty soft, sweaty skin and had heard rumours of folk trying this out, but after searching on here found nothing.
A week into marigolds in the shower my skin generally seems to be drier. Admittedly I do use antihydral from time to time, but skin always goes weird and wrinkly after using it then showering in the following days.
Gonna keep it up anyway, just wondered if anyone else had gone to such extremes to battle sweaty tips........

Only person I've heard of doing it was Big Ron.

Marigolds aren't breathable so your tips still get wet inside the gloves. The only effective solution is to wrap your hands in dehumidified towels and have someone else bathe you.
It's what I do.

Put Rhino Tip Juice inside the gloves first so your fingers are marinating in the marigolds. Bound to work fine :yes:

I had a climbing friend once who put his hands in little electrical baths to stop his hands sweating. I dont know any more about it but a quick google brings up "Iontophoresis for hyperhidrosis" It might be something to look into.

Probably 30 years ago, a young climbing obsessed Joe had read about Big Ron wearing marigolds in the bath. Wanting some of this magic skin, Joe decided to do the same.
On a night out Joe met a young lady and they got to know each of very well over a short period of time and headed back to Joe's place.
After an energetic night at Joe's flat, they decided to have a bath together. Joe ran the bath and proceeded to get in.
The young lady arrived in the bathroom to find him in the bath, naked, except for the rubber gloves that he was pulling on.
She did not ask for an explanation and left in a hurry.
(It is a longer time since Joe told me this, but I think that's about the way he described it)
