Title: Canon S100 or SX270?
Post by: Probes on July 31, 2014, 12:41:18 pm
Having reading the advice on here from camera wads, Ive opted to get an s100, but i cant seem to find it for sale anywhere now? Out of production? The SX270 looks like a similar alternative/new line of the same thing? Is this correct or am I being mislead and will end up with something not the same quality?

Used (therefore cheaper) or refurbished (also cheaper than new) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-PowerShot-S100-Digital-Camera/dp/B005N5NF6I)

I would expect the next in the range to be the S120 (http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Canon/Canon-Powershot-Cameras/Canon-PowerShot-S120)

The latest version is the S120 (http://www.dpreview.com/products/canon/compacts/canon_s120). No idea how the 100 and 120 compare.

The S series are a good choice if you want something highly portable but better than the phone.
