The design seems to involve some kind of weld and if I remember correctly even the slightest difference in the alloy used for this can cause significant galvanic corrosion?

Edit: The design photographed in the article looks quite different to the one on their website (http://www.titanclimbing.com/Titan%20Climbing%20products%20-%20Eterna%20Titanium%20glue%20in%20bolt.html)

I'm no expert but guessing it will be a titanium alloy too, not pure, which I understand is too soft in most commercial applications?

Paul, you're right too, welding even a titanium alloy is fraught with contamination apparently, google any bike frame manufacturer on the subject
