Title: 'Unfinished business'
Post by: billy on February 10, 2004, 02:32:00 pm
I recently wrote myself a list of all my 'unfinished buisness' problems. I came up with a list of ~20-30 problems that i've tried at somepoint along the way but had never quite managed to drag my arse up.

The annoying thing was i went out to owler tor on sat afternoon to do the crack thingy left of the two ears problem (B7 apparently). Happily i dispatched this fairly quickly  :D  and decided the SS would be worth a look. Needless to say, did all the moves and now have another entry on my list!!!!!!!!  :x I think i'm stuck in an loop i can't get out of!!!!

Is it just me or has everyone else got an 'Unfinished business' list as long as their arm :?:

If you ever finished your unfinished business then maybe bouldering wouldn't hold the same appeal.

But I agree, as you get better or travel about a bit, then that list keeps on growing. I don't think there's many who ever tick their whole list....but having said that, after ticking the whole Peak, maybe that's why Jason Myers goes surfing instead these days  :?:

If you pop your clogs with 'unfinished business' and you're psyched enough does that mean you can you come back as a ghost and haunt the problems you've not done?     :bat:

It's a long list and that's how I like it. So long as some get ticked off at regular intervals and a similar number of new entries appear in their places, I'm a happy man.

currently within an inch of latching the jug and bagging what will be one of HK's finest problems (the grades a guess at the minute)

Damn, just spent another day tickling the lip of the jug at the end of the problem - its starting to piss me off now, added to which i managed to put a hole through the toe of a 3 week old pair of boots - fucking soft shite Mad Rock rubber............ - shame cause the boots fit like gloves and seem to perform well in all other respects

on the plus side we also found this fella lurking at the back of the roof Gai Jin - V8 (http://www.hongkongclimbing.com/Gallery/videos/gaijin.htm) (sound's a little bit fucked towards the end for some reason)
