Has anyone been to the usual places like kudos,  tor and moat and are they worth a look today
Thanks

I also have the same question. Need to be in Sheffield for work on Wednesday. Looks like it’s going to be a sunny day but heard (from non climbers) the ground is sodden.

Also looking for dry spots in the peak. Had fancied milstone.

No rain forecast after 5 on Tuesday and sun + breeze all day on Wednesday so plenty of rock on the Eastern Edges will be dry in the afternoon if not sooner. Some of Millstone will probably have runoff but you’ll get something done.

Lime’s obviously a different story... TomTom posted that Kudos was dry today if you have wellies to get there and a tarp but I imagine there’s loads still to soak through- it’s rained every day for a week now so the water table will be as high as Snoop Dogg.

That’s really helpful. Thanks.

Wharncliffe  Deepcar is often good in showery conditions after heavy rain at this time of year the rock is cooled nicely by rain and dries super fast and the ground is rocky (various landings improved for pads). To be honest though the forecast for Wednesday looks so good many places should be in as long as they are not above boggy ground.

The tor was pretty seepy Monday evening but we have had nice weather since then so may well be in a better state now.

Although it’s rained all night...

At the moment the forecast isn’t too flash... high humidity and rain. Tor/Rubicon can fare better than many crags as they are open and can cop some wind - if it’s running onto the crag or along the valley that helps.

Also for Rubicon, you can check the state of the river here: https://www.gaugemap.co.uk/#!Detail/131/137

Traverses flood first of course - kudos stands a little proud of the water but you’d need wellies.
