I'm pretty sure there's already a topic for this somewhere....can anyone find it?

You're right Bubba, I even posted in it! Here we go http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,8688.25.html (http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,8688.25.html) worth a merge?

I think this is a better thread title than the cheese one so...
Some dodgy mixing on this, but absolutely belting hard techno from DJ Dick (AKA Westbam's bro) at the Pleasure Drome Birkenhead '95... Complete tragedy it's not a longer mix... One of my best nights ever, I managed to get 14 wasted people (not including myself) in my parent's Peugeot 505 on the way home :)

I also have a vague recollection of seeing Joey Beltram in around '94 at the Drome...
Think he was still toting this round at the time, cracking bit of deep house/techno...

Thanks for that; this station was a huge part of my life back then and was a great midweek fix before the weekend BYO madness. Easy D was (is?) a really talented DJ and Rush complemented him perfectly. There were nights at the Warehouse when they were just on fire :dance1:
I know somebody who used to go out with Rush and had a vast set of original BYO tapes...I've tried to coax them out of her to copy but the last time I asked she'd lent them all to her niece....I live in hope...

Pleasure Bubba
I only went to BYO a couple of times used to go to the palais in sheff and some crazy nights in West Indian centre in spital hill and anywhere that was having an all nighter
Finding these always makes me smile remembering how mad it was and when every night out was the best night of your life cos of the super doves
Did BYO have a bus outside I seem to remember sitting in one cabaged

Palais was great and the venue for my first Experience, will never forget it :)
Yeah, the BYO had the London double-decker outside - I also had many an interesting / worse for wear moment sat out there ;)
Doesn't look so pretty in the cold, hard light of day but here she is:
