good work Barros!

Out of interest, how many British climbers have climbed 8c in recent years?  I'd guess at sub 20 individuals?  Seems lik quite a few new ones arrived on the list in the last 12 months.

If only there was a less ambiguous and confusable grading system for bouldering, eh, Jasper. I'm concerned about poor confused Dense here...

This is a tiny victory for the beleagured V-people  ;D

PS, first post in a while. Have the smileys been at it? There seems to be millions of them all of a sudden.

There's a difference between misleading and confusing you dick.

No, it's an incorrectly written title.  :shrug:

Great. So now I have to extend my range of emotions to encompass those represented by these new emoticons. In my entire life I've barely experienced the first row in terms of feelings and now there's three getting on for four. I don't like change  :worms:

I agree Grimer. I'm from Lancashire where we don't even have a need for exclamation marks. Plus the one emoticon that would be representative - dour - isn't there.

A lifetime of emotional repression siped out in an instant.

Whilst I agree that the title is confusing I'm surprised that nobody has commented on the fact that this was pointed out by the only user of UKB that appears to not have a shift key.

Sorry for going off-topic, but I am mostly confused because every guide book that I own which gives Fontainebleau grades uses a lower case letter (eg. 7a), therefore I always assumed that the upper case denotes French sport grades. I am wrong? It's confused me for a while, so a straight answer would be, like, totally rad. Dudes.

f = boulder?
F = sport?
8a = sport?
8A = boulder?

8a - sport
V11 - bouldering

Of course I'm reading this Simon - a UKB thread all of my own :clap2: (except for all the discussions about smiley faces and capital letters). Thanks for the congratulations, my ego is getting bigger every day  :)
Of course it's all just training for link-ups at the tor and in tom's roof anyway...

He's the one at the Foundry/Tor that's eight feet taller than you.

Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks and fingers like bananas. His eyes were like steel: cold, hard. Had a shock of hair, red, like the fires of Hell.

You would never see Strong Ed at the Tor, maybe under the Foundry campus board but never the Tor.
