not being able to speak Italian I entered the report into babel fish:

... 8C Boulder, 8B+ or more or than less? (hour that they turn the voices of the broken off taken ones and of the gradazione of Malcom Smith). To Mauro (Mister E9) they have not annoyed more than a lot (athletic speaking) taken broken off and cold. 26 February, after to have melted with of the warm tea a candelotto of ice on the passage, it is attacked more to the firm cliff and not until the escape of the passage! Great Mauro!

word on the street is it's been chipped recently, so a spate of repeats is on the books...

didn't malc say it deffinetley hadn't been chipped?

you'd think with the amount of attempts it get that any chipping would be noticed immediatley, not "oh now its getting loads of repeats we'll say its been chipped some time in the past".

while everyones sayin that it can't be 8c after 11? repeats. we do have to be serious for a mo n realise that at this time it's the most famous prob in the world (probably). no one who has done it cud be regarded as a punter in any language. fred sayin it's 8c is like a red rag to a bull to all these top climbers. destinations have their 'in' times for people wishin to travel. i mean who wants to travel to britain so they have a chance of 1 good wk in 4 on the grit. it's just too much of a ballache.
on the subject of it being chipped- thats a bit iffy. if so, why wasn't it reported the day after and who wil admit to it being chipped when they did it, reducing the grade of their own ascent??
if it's not 8c wot is it? malc said 8b+. fred wasn't very far out then, n it will ave had excessive cleanin like a new grit prob gets
