Jokes aside I was serious in the last post and there is somebody who has bouldered many 8B's and is expected to do an 8C soon and is just keeping quiet about it.

This is almost exactly how the Rich Simpson saga started. Weird behaviour tends to get a weird reception, so maybe suggest to your mate he builds up some concrete evidence along the way or the big reveal might not get the adulation he expects.

I think you are all being a little harsh on CapitalistPunter. I think he's just psyched for his friend. Yes, the post is little pointless and frustrating, but just ignore it. No need for everyone to jump in. UKB already has a reputation for grumpy posters, and so getting stuck into relatively new posters is hardly helping.

If the wad would like to maximise consumer engagement then spamming insta with #myJourneyTo8C 4 times a day starting from whenever they are older enough to have an account is still the tried and tested most successful way to do it. Even better if they are struggling with 6Bs at the beginning. It's all about #theJourney and #IveJustDoneAn8CButGradesArentImportantToMe

To maximise number of followers our incipient hero must be a) good looking or b) climb really hard (most preferably both). However, to maximise engagement they must c) write words and d) be nice.

For reference I wasnt the one that split the topic and it was not intended to be a brag that I know about something secret. I was excited to share what I heard my friend had done, although as I said beforehand in an earlier post before I obviously should have waited.
Hopefully when it all comes out there will be something interesting to talk about. Maybe the days of the G are coming back, maybe not.
