Title: training music
Post by: ghisino on March 26, 2019, 10:39:39 am
just wondering if people here can recommend a few playlists and/or web radios that are well suited to hear during a training session.

i particularly enjoy "the real thing" soundrack for the purpose, to give an example

cheers!   :)

Wow, that’s all so cute and cuddly.

It probably helps with the rests.

Anyway, I prefer Protafield if I feel Electronicishy type thingy. Rediscovering the Prodigy too.

But you can’t beat a bit of The Disturbed, or Rage Against The Machine, for a good strength session.
Basically anything that makes other people leave the room and gives you “Total fucking Psycho” face if you sing along whilst training.

If I feel jolly, for a more relaxed, sunny day, kind of thing; a playlist of the Offspring’s less commercial stuff, has me bouncing weight plates off strangers heads (in a playful way, of course, hardly any blood).

I usually train alone, before the wall is open.

Go figure.

I think a bit of variety is good, although it tends to be techno, especially Chris Liberator acid techno stuff. I’ve also been listening to a fair bit of Rory Gallagher and The Band, but the latter’s a bit too chilled to listen to for long tbh.

I don’t generally like house music, but this lady’s blend of progressive/ techy house is great to train to, plenty on soundcloud too:

Wu tang clan, any of. Leftfield's leftism or rhythm and stealth. Techno if you want aggressive, reggae if you want mellow.

Let's be honest.

Stick on some AC/DC at max volume and even if you're not a fan, you climb 2 grades harder.
