Title: Metolius Crimp Oil?
Post by: Muenchener on January 31, 2014, 04:44:29 pm
Has anybody seen/tried this Metolius Snake Crimp Oil?

Can such a thing possibly work? I know various yoga teachers and ayurveda practitioners in India are big on externally-applied medicinal oils for various ailments - the guy I studied with liked sandalwood oil for knees - but in reality can enough of anything actually be absorbed through the skin to make a difference to structures deep inside the body? OK, not that deep in the case of finger tendons.

I was going by Splitter Choss (http://www.splitterchoss.com/2014/01/28/outdoor-retailer-winter-market-2014-climbing-report/):

Quote
Metolius has a ¾ crag glove and Crimp oil, designed to ease your aching tendons. They say it’s done well in Europe

So they may be just the US distributor.
