We're wanting to get various things done on our house (a wall partly knocking through, some damp looking at/sorting on an external wall, insulation under floorboards etc) but our preferred builder is too busy to do it.. anyone got any recommendations?

Not a recommendation I'm afraid but if you encounter a tall builder called Mick, stay away he did much of the initial work on the flats I live in, and did a pretty awful job.
