unfortunately lording it up in Hueco this Christmas was put on hold after a particularly expensive few months :wall:
now i am having a minor dilemma over where to spend 2 weeks to get away from the mental torment of Christmas and all that comes with
myself and the other half fancy doing some routes for a change, and fancied the look of both of the above. he climbs pretty hard but im just a mere mortal, and I thought these two destinations would cater for us both pretty well. both look stunning on the net, but from experience i know its worth getting a bit of objectivity from good folk who have already been.... I'm basically looking for somewhere thats not too expensive, pretty accessible, decent conditions and pretty relaxing too (a bit of sea would be nice). also somewhere that isn't overrun by drunk burnt rude British holiday makers would be preferable.
has anyone been there and have any advice, or can you suggest anywhere else in Europe? thanks :)

ah i'm after this same info. um i get the impression that sardinia is quite a bit more expensive than mallorca (not sure why i think this!!)

baby, sardegna all the way.
theres more rock, more waves, more freshly made cheese, more roasted lamb, more cheap beer and cheap rooms than you could possible take advantage from in a three month long holiday.

cheers boss

I agree with Nibs. Mallorca is very nice but Sard is a better bet for the weather at Xmas.

like, with dancing girls, red carpets and tings

went about 4 years ago, two weeks before chrimbo
the place was deader than elvis
all hotels shut :(
parked up, sitting dejected in the hire car, when 'tap-tap-tap' on the window
a woman rattling away in italian and gesticulating for us to follow her
ended up in a decent two bed apartment next to her house
twas a good week, though chilly of an evening
