Title: Taking supplements into the EU
Post by: abarro81 on August 25, 2021, 08:30:14 am
Anyone know what you can/can't take in post Brexit?

I'm assuming whey is out as a dairy product, but beta alanine ok as I think they synthesise in a lab?

Think omega 3 ok (we took these into Australia before)?

Anyone know about other stuff eg turmeric, cherry extract etc. Guessing these may be banned as they're plant extracts?? Hard to tell since most things other than meat is a plant product in some shape or form!

This isn’t very helpful to your situation, but as I told my fiercely Vegan cousin, meat is just naturally, organically processed, vegetable matter.

If you think I can fit all my supplements in a carry on bag you've got another thing coming...

Travellers will, however, be allowed to bring in powdered infant milk, infant food and special foods required for medical reasons provided that (i) the product does not require refrigeration before consumption; (ii) it is a packaged proprietary brand product; and (iii) the packaging of the product is unbroken.

Looks like you should be fine as long as packets are sealed and you show them your hurty fingy.

Therapeutic use exemption? Not sure it's relevant since it's all legit and I don't get drug tested!

Amazon order is obviously the other option, just wondering whether we can still take stuff to save hassle of dealing with missed deliveries in foreign countries!

The  other option is just taking a bag of flour and when you get there mix it with water and shape it in to pills. Then write on them turmeric, cherry extract etc and guess what not only have you saved your self a load of hassle, you might have proved something. :o

Except to dye the flour a convincing placebo yellow you'd have to use some kind of strong yellow colouring. Such as for example turmeric

Just don’t drink enough for a day or so and use your dark urine to save any conflicts.
