Title: North Yorkshire vs Lakes
Post by: cha1n on February 11, 2013, 08:14:45 pm
Hey

I'm travelling up from the South and have 3-4 days to spare where I eventually have to end up in North Yorkshire on Saturday (Reeth area). I was going to visit some Peak/South Yotkshire crags on the way up but realised it's not far from the Lakes either.

I don't get up to either area very often so wondered what people would suggest. Are there certain crags that are unmissable if you're in the area? Bouldering will be up to 7B and preferably overhanging or compression in style, if there's a good selection of stuff up to 6A, even better.

Thanks for any help!

If you are going to be in north yorks anyway you may as well make the most of what's in the area. Brimham is great esp if you can hook up with a local. Slips tones as mentioned and almscliff isn't a great detour. The world is your lobster

Overhanging/compression problems up to 7B? Brimham.
