Title: Where to climb in on/off conditions - Peak
Post by: cha1n on June 27, 2014, 07:50:33 pm
Up in Sheffield having some job interviews Mon-Weds and looking for somewhere to have a quick climb at least one of the days. Have a slightly injured finger on my left hand so will go for some mileage, say 7A ish, harder if I can avoid using my finger finger on my left hand!

Are there some limestone caves that stay dry or anything?

Forecast looking ok for early part of next week.

For reference eatswood is the most reliably permadry venue I've come across in the Peak. Not quite limestone, but almost.

Broomgrove is always dry, and I mean always.

Tor is the classic dodgy weather option.

Tor is the classic dodgy weather option.

and of course easy to check without having to carry your mats in and out

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Are these venues in the Peaking Bouldering guidebook (Vertebrate one)? It's packed away in the loft at the moment, yes it's been a while! So psyched to being moving up!

Bad times, have to go in the gfs little micra so no room for mats. Glad I found out this info anyway but will probably be a works session instead *sobs*.
