Title: Peeling Skin...
Post by: Fatboy on September 11, 2007, 10:20:16 am
Guys and gals,

Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a recent ailment for me pleeease??

After climbing recenlty, upto and beyond a few days after a session, I have been getting skin peeling off my finger and thumb tips.
This has been occuring after climbing at both the wall and outside.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
Any cures/remidies??
Should I consult a doctor (other than fatdoc etc)?  ;)

Any help is much appreciated!!

Cheers,
Mark

most people get this at some point. it's probably just where harder dry skin on the sirface has built up from climbing, then after a few days of not climbing it comes away in flakes cos its not being natually worn down by climbing. you could try routinely lightly sanding your tips every day when you're not climbing to try and stop this kinds of build-up.
