They're badly-made, turn your feet blue, and are somehow my favourite climbing shoe :shrug:
I'm wondering if anyone's seen any Hiangles available in a UK8? I'm guessing it could be a supply issue - the kind of basic stuff that 5.10 seem to struggle with.
Ideally they'd be the new model that doesn't give the smurf effect, but beggers can't be choosers.

I think someone I spoke to at the depot (nottingham) suggested they are coming out with a synthetic version which he suggested looked good so perhaps they are planning on shifting to synthetic only (speculation).

I thought all 5:10 shoes were non-leather (cowdura or whatever they call it)?

They are bringing out a synthetic Hiangle for next year but keeping the leather ones too. I suppose depending upon demand one model may go next year.

I thought the new, non-blue version had been out a while? I also really liked the old ones but build quality was, indeed, terrible

I was half a size bigger but they stretched quite a lot so could have probably went same size if I want a pussy with them when they were new

I've got a pair of both old (turn your feet blue) and new. Just to add to the confusion the new pair are definitely bigger than my old pair 1/2 size up. Guess that's 5.10 for you.

Newer version arrived, not what I ordered but hey ho. Size 7 for a street 9, same as old velcros. First time on was a holy fuck moment but after a hot bath stretch they're spot on. Pretty impressed with the fit and feel and ordering a untried pair of boots online without the usual :slap:
