ended up contracting several tropical diseases.
Mr du Toit was also diagnosed with deadly malaria twice after contracting it through mosquitoes breeding in the pool.

Good indeed.
Saw the pride of lions shot in the Guardian on Saturday, although they reported he'd contracted malaria and Leishmaniasis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leishmaniasis) (not sure you ever fully recover from malaria once you've contracted it as you can have relapses).

Leishmans disease is fucking bad - I knew someone who still had it re-occuring following military service 20 years before.....

Keen for sure yeah! Does seem a little extreme but I guess if thats his passion then props to him, even though it is bonkers. Stunning photo's however
