Post by: Don Jebus on March 29, 2023, 09:06:55 pm
Anyone know what the conditions are like at devils gorge at the moment? Thinking of heading to Wales this weekend, Sunday looks good but Saturday a bit suspect

Bouldering is all dry. Routes are still gopping.

Is it possible to boulder in the rain there, assuming it's not seeping?

I always thought the bouldering seeped quite badly. Clearly not if its dry now. Shows what I know.

The bouldering does seep during winter, but once it dries up (which it did a month ago or so) then it tends to stay fairly dry. Was bone on Monday. You can climb there in a shower for sure, so long as there isn't a southerly.
