Anyone have any ideas on what the Peak lime will be like tomorrow? I'm not hugely experienced with it especially this time of year.
Thinking possibly Blackwell Dale but if there won't be anywhere in decent nick then I might as well stay home and have a board session.
-
Doubt anything dry at Blackwell Dale. High humidity all day. Grit likely to be grim. Any dry lime likely to be greasy and crowded.

Thought as much! Cheers for confirming though, grit is definitely a no-no with the current skin condition anyway so board it is.

Anyone able to share an update on conditions at the Cornice (either/both) or the Tor please? Everything looks a bit wet and keen to get out tomorrow.
-
The Cornice was very dry yesterday and it looked like the heavy storm in Sheffield on Saturday missed that bit of the Peak (river level normal and not very muddy). Another storm dud arrive just as we left though. Probably worth checking rainfall data on buxtonweather.com

Thanks Jon.

Thinking of going to Odin's Cave tomorrow.
Has anyone been in the last couple of days/anyone care to guess whether it's likely to have survived the rain that we've had recently/is forecast tomorrow?
-
Bit out of date but I was there Tuesday last week and it was bone dry.

No you won't, you were at Thor's Cave!

🤦♂️ Mixing up my god-themed caves!

Thank goodness you're not in charge of accurately curating any lists.

Don't know peak lime well n obviously pretty foul weather, any permadry sport or bouldering that'll be good tomorrow? Alternatively any mag lime?
-
Beef buttress at Roche abbey is a reliable choice on the mag lime side, and you can usually find something dry at Rubicon.
-
Anyone know whether Long Wall down cheedale has survived the recent inclement weather?
Thinking of heading down there on Friday.

Last time I went was just after the last of the really heavy rain about 2 weeks ago, and most routes were wet. Fatal Attraction leftwards was running with water, I can't see them drying off again this season. Varying degrees of run off on the slabbier stuff around Meterol - I think there is a reasonable chance these will be dry again now though.
-
Hmm..thanks. Maybe revise plans.
What about Two Tier and Chee Tor?
-
I went to the Tor yday evening and the sun was very strong. Anything that’s a sunny aspect ie 2 tier will be worth a punt but expect the odd damp pocket as seepage is definitely in effect.
-
My friend is currently at tor and he said it’s not condensed and nice and cool - hopefully the blast from the sun yesterday dried a lot of it out. I imagine there’ll still be some seepage on some of the holds but sounds like most of it is in good nick!

Chee Tor.. or Ravens Tor?
Sounds like its going to be reasonable drying conditions all week, so I'm sure we'll be able to get on something.

Raven Tor :)
