Sounds like he broke his own limits there. Sounds pretty cool although not very aesthetic.
I've done a few routes at Forest Rock and they are really nice for the venue. Hope they're staying clean.

That's how every hard boulder should be: steep, short and with an undercut.

I've done one of the E2's there. Basically a solo and 1 star at best. I never liked Forest Rock much but probably wasn't/am still not strong enough to get the most out of it.

The E2 was nice enough but the weakest route. E1 traversing the roofs and E3 direct through them were good!

Beautiful setting. I used to love isolated boulders in a meadow.

What the pic doesn't show is the houses 10m left and right of the crag, and the fact that the photographer is stood 2m from the road... isolated boulders in a meadow this is not!
