Is the Milwaukee surge impact driver the
equivalent of the Makita soft impact. And if so, anyone used the Milwaukee and rate it? I've already got all the batterys for Milwaukee so would rather get that one.

What are you using it for predominantly?
-
Festool innit.

Not used either, but:
've already got all the batterys for Milwaukee
Online specs / description both sound similar - both use an oil-filled hydraulic hammer action rather than the metal anvil on your standard rattle gun! So, no brainer? The Makita is also x2 the price!
Plenty online reviews.

If you’ve got Milwaukee batteries get the Milwaukee! No brainier innit

Generally they're pretty similar. The Milwaukee one feels more top heavy and unbalanced in the hand though.
I'd get the Milwaukee if I already had batteries.
Assuming you're using it for setting?

Is it for setting Haydn?
If so i used the makita when it first came out and it just didn't have the torque, often had to hand tighten/loosen bolts.
I don't set any more, you'd be welcome to borrow it and see what you think.
Edit: definitely nicer to use though

Yes it was for setting. Cheers for the replies. Looks like I'm buying it.

Ever time i see this title I want to say M-il-wau-kee like Alice Cooper does in Wayne's World.

Used them a lot when I was doing the exhibition work - can't remember ever complaining. Matt moved to them from Makita and no one complained, the batteries in the Milwaukee latest longer.
I have a DeWalt now and there's not a lot of difference, I just have those batteries.
