I've climbed West Side Story in them. Shick-a-dink.

Also lent them to Honnold who'd forgotten his boots; he did Thumbellina in them.

I've got a pair, and have been pretty good scrambling around. Not climbed in them yet, but i think they would be ok. They don't feel very sturdy but apparantly they do last.

Only on plastic when setting and warming up on easy problems and they seem to work fine. Not sure about anything hard though- but you shouldn't worry, beasts can climb in anything  ;)

I found guide tennies great but you have to fit them small to really get a climbing fit. problem is they have no longitudinal support which is probably what you'll need. my current ones (prodigy) are stiffer but the toe profile/rubber edge is wacker for climbing and clumpy.

ideally what you really want is something low profile and light with a carbon fibre midsole stiffener, or failing that, some of these (http://static.tramdock.com/images/items/medium/NOR0051/ISGB.jpg).
