My film is finally finished. Those who read my blog will know that I filmed a lot of the stuff I climbed, mainly as a way to be able to look back, but also with vague notions of perhaps putting a couple of them on bleau.info. By the time I was ready to leave I realised I had far more footage than I anticipated and so I decided to put it all together for anyone who was interesting. I'm hoping that will be some of you hombres!
The trailer is available right here;
http://www.vimeo.com/1341149?pg=embed&sec=1341149 (http://www.vimeo.com/1341149?pg=embed&sec=1341149)
But it will look loads better if you clicked on vimeo and watched it on their site as it will then be HD instead of this tiny window as displayed on UKB.
If you want to read a bit more about it then go to my blog via; www.unclesomebody.com (http://www.unclesomebody.com)
The full film will be available for download very soon. I just need to get it uploaded which will take some time as it's rather large. I'll post up a link as soon as it's available.
Enjoy.
The live link is now available from my blog, www.unclesomebody.com/blog (http://www.unclesomebody.com/blog) . The only version available right now is the HD version, so if you aren't on the tech curve, you're going to have to wait for the SD version. Everyone will be able to watch this version on their computer or via some media centre so 99% of you should start downloading. I really do recommend that you download this version as the visual quality is very high, and it will only enhance your viewing pleasure.
As you've read on my blog, this film is free to download, but I am making it possible for you to make a donation to "Unclesomebody Productions" after you've watched it. If you are a UKB member, please let me know this information if/when you decide to make a donation. Thanks.
The film is 55 min in length, nearly 2Gb in size, and is encoded with x264. If you find you aren't seeing anything when you try to play it, it's because you don't have an x264 codec installed. You can get one very easily by downloading and installing this; http://www.free-codecs.com/x264_Video_Codec_download.htm (http://www.free-codecs.com/x264_Video_Codec_download.htm) . Of course, you could always just watch it with VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)) which will have no problems playing it. However, it's highly likely that most people will have this codec already on their machines... so don't worry!
Apart from that, get your download on! I really hope you guys/girls enjoy it.

Nice trailer, looks excellent and I look forward to the full release.
Would it be feasible to set up a torrent for aiding dissemination?
-
That was a shit front lever fatty!
Trailer was sweet though am psyched out of my tiny mind to see it! Got work on friday for a week so hurry up and get it uploaded!
-
fucking, i fucking can't fucking wait. fucking.
-
Good trailer, looks promising, I like the start of it ;)
-
I was just wondering the other day when you'd post this up, looks good.
(Whats the esoteric slab then? - i'm sure it says on the full thing)
and what kind of file size are we looking at? ;D
-
I await the whole film with great interest.

Yo Paul!! Its at boissy aux cailles at an area called les nombrilles or something. Just that one thing there but we went to look at it last week, very pretty indeed!
-
last week eh? you shouldn't use the word 'pretty' either.
-
looks fucking ace!
-
last week eh? you shouldn't use the word 'pretty' either.
Whats wrong with pretty? Just in touch with my femine side! Ha! Is rad or sick better?! Whatever its pleasing to the eye!
We stopped in font to break up the journey back from swiss and montauban! Had a few days at neils!
-
What's that soundtrack? It rules. No wonder you got strong listening to that, although it does put the image of shirtless men on a dance floor into my head - you know who you are x
-
I cant wait for this! have high expectations. Am hoping for a grown up west coast gimps...
-

good idea
-
The pretty slab looks ace, music is top too, look forward to the full thing.
-
Am hoping for a grown up west coast gimps...
Thankfully it isn't that. His muscles have grown though. Boy done good.
-
:great:
Looks top. looking forward to seeing it.
cheers

Thanks for the compliments. Without sounding like I'm hyping it up too much, the film is better than the trailer. Actually, I really struggled trying to make the trailer. Anyway, the download link is now live in my blog, so head there, have a read, and get your download on. Dobbin has updated the first post of this thread to reflect this, but has accidentally deleted the original post (to be rectified soon).
Look forward to hearing any responses...
-
2 Gig download....tis but a fleshwound...
-
I have set the pc at work the task of downloading this file this evening while I'm out climbing. Looking forward to viewing it tommorow.
-
I'm slightly concerned this is all going to be way too technical for me and I don't think I can download onto the work computer, I'm going to give it a go and then come back and moan when it doesn't work :boohoo:
-
I'm just intrigued to see what beats have made the final cut out of the 5 billion terabytes on your hard drive! ibook G4 is patiently awaiting SD version. Effort on this beast.
-
Can't wait, looks fucking ace, am downloading it now in massive anticipation. Keith, what's the tune of the trailer? I don't normally get into techno until about my second gary, but I could listen to that all day long and I'm straighter than Mother Therasa right now.
-
Very nice work. I am so ready for the forest after watching that, its pure enthusiasm. I enjoyed the epic final boss battle at the end. Well executed.
I wanna be like Keith. 8)
-
Wow. You've downloaded and watched that quickly! Thanks for the comments.
The track in the trailer is Mathew Jonson - Marionette which you can find on Sven Vath - The sound of the sixth season.
-
Yeah fast internet connection at work and my girlfriend was having a post work drink when I got home. I like the tunes throughout, a few are personal favourites of mine. Chromeo, Bonnie Prince Billie and Modest Mouse are great and it was interesting to hear some things I hadnt heard such as the Carla Brune.
The problems are nicely varied, and the angles used too are usually pretty spot on. I like the ironic, arrogant feel of your unclesomebody character. I hope that doesnt offend.
I almost pissed when I saw some friends of mine towards the end too.
Again top effort on the video and well done on the problems.
-
Only four and three-quarter hours to go. I'm thinking the "8mb broadband" might have been a typo....
Can't wait, it's like staying up to watch a grand prix. Only exciting and everything....
-
I like the ironic, arrogant feel of your unclesomebody character. I hope that doesnt offend.
Textbook shit. To the contrary, I'm sure it'll compliment rather than offend!
-
I enjoyed watching that Unc, very nice.
Couple of questions:
Where did you get the Google Earth stylee zoom in/out at that quality?
How long did this take to render?!?!
The only downside is it makes me want to get out and make some movies!!!!
Well done.
-
Six weeks at 56K, can't wait to see Keith crush Kheops, you kept that one quiet beast!
-
Six weeks at 56K, can't wait to see Keith crush Kheops, you kept that one quiet beast!
Sweet lord. It's not true. I don't want anyone to think I did Kheops. I didn't! It's just that some reporters don't quite understand the importance of checking with original sources of information.
Anyway, I can send you a copy adam. Just email film@unclesomebody.com with your details.
-
I don't want anyone to think I did Kheops.
No, Unc only did the sitter. Official 8)
-
at 300k+ its still going to take about 2 hours :(
I demand faster upload sppeds
-
were is my hard copy twat
-
good job, the video is superb
-
downloading, see you in 5 hours.
this should be amazing.
:D :D :D
-
watched it last night (got fast t'interweb at work) really good.
wondering about the logisitics of film making i assume you only had one camera, so on the few problems where the angle changes once you repeated the problem?
ive only spent short periods in font, how does your skin cope with 85 days? guess more than one rest day in a row is needed then at points? presumeably the rain plays a part in allowing your skin to recover?
Made me psyched to get to font more. whats the weather like at xmas time?
Cheers
Tim
-
Just what I needed to psyche me back up after a shitty result at the BBC. :great: Great vid Keith.
Can't wait for the annual winter trips only question is how do I explain to the family I'm going for 85 days this time. :-\
-
Very slick production. Nice one.
-
TimB, have a read of his blog. The whole thing. Its very good, and your questions are answered.
-
thanks JB gonna have a read now.
Cheers
Tim
-
Great stuff Keith. The little kid pointing out where you were going wrong on La Coccinelle was the highlight for me and I loved the Chatterton run up. Fucking good battle on Gourmandise as well, having wathched you pissing everything else it was nice to see you have to put some serious effort in!
Quality tunes too, that D.A.N.C.E remix is really rather good.
I need more time in Font, where's that lottery ticket............ >:(
-
suppose there's no chance someone could create a torrent or download for the soundtrack? not normally a techno person (normally metal) but always keen to try new music, and i know when i like something and quite a few of those tracks were definately amongst that category.
Cheers
Tim
-
The voice-over samples work well Keith. Nice one.
-
Brilliant, nice one.
-
Damn it failed whilst downloading last night on the rubbish laptop, 8 hours after it started! 330 kb/sec on this one though so not too much longer to wait!
-
Great video Keith! A very fine effort indeed. Some excellent little details in there, some already mentioned and a very funny intro.
-
Superb. Bit jerky on my pc, look forward to the DVD.
-
just used nero recode to create a dvd, but actually thinking about it i would be willing to contribute a suitable amount to unc's fund for a HD or none hd dvd, as dont (shock horror) have a hd tv at home. just a pc. :(
-
Some constructive criticism, if you can take it:
You coped with the lack of camera crew very well. I really liked the wider view, a nice change from the familiar closeups. The framing of the wide shots was good throughout and occasionally superb. You have a better eye for this than many of the pros out there.
Levels need some work, music is much louder than the stuff to mic, I was turning it up and down continually.
I'd have liked a bit more commentary, maybe some relevant excerpts from the blog read over the top. From the blog I know there is a real story, with that I think it would be as engaging as any of the pro films, the quality of the footage is already there.
-
Why the hell is it taking so long on my computer? It just doesnt seem to download! :wall:
Have to wait for the dvd, rubbish!
-
Adam, I appreciate the criticism, and much of what you said was stuff I tried to fix but in the end I wasn't able to. Funny you should mention the voiceover stuff as I was going to do this but had a change of heart in the end. I've emailed you anyway...
Glad you enjoyed the small details, they really made me laugh when I put some of them in. For those who haven't watched the real thing, now would be a good time to revisit one of the greatest climbing films. If only I didn't have to leave font in such a rush at the end, there were many amusing things that were missed out... next time...
Thanks for the positive feedback from everyone. I'm not shy either, so feel free to bash me with criticism (via email is more convenient for me!).
monkeyboy; I can only assume you don't know what you're doing, have a very bad net connection, or your computer is a mobile phone. I'll send you a DVD soon enough... I'm working on it.
-
Bum, would love to watch it, but can't download it at work, and home computer has carked it. Any chance of a burned copy?

Definitely is, check out Unclesomebody's blog (http://www.unclesomebody.com/blog/?p=39).

For the third time of asking, how do I pay for it?
-
For the third time of asking, how do I pay for it?
My grabbing hands aren't big or fast enough are they? Basically, paypal is easiest for me, so if you want to make a donation send a paypal donation to keith at bradbury.net (replacing the at for @). If you don't want to use paypal, and I don't blame you, you can send me it in the post, so email me for address (I daren't make it public - the paps (or should that be po po) will be round in no time).
I just want to clarify, you really don't have to pay, but I would gratefully accept anything. No donation too small!
-
Downloaded in 2hrs whilst i was asleep :) Just had a slow flick through and it looks top notch, a really pro effort and a great soundtrack too :)
Look forward to watching it properly when I'm fully awake again this weekend.
-
Excellent Keith. I was really rooting for you on partage.
Agreed with everything adam sez, I can't believe the levels were so much out. Some of the framing was truley excellent and the 720 HD was very nice to watch although I think you need to work on your colours and white balance a bit
-
quality, quality, quality..........................................................................
But where is all my footage... failing all those 5+'s
although I seen all the footage before its very well made, I would actually pay money for it, stick some more footage in and stick it up for general release
good effort, see you in a few weeks.........
-
yeah its class, ill defo be making a donation as it was good to watch. inspring!
-
although I seen all the footage before its very well made, I would actually pay money for it, stick some more footage in and stick it up for general release
The soundtrack might cost you a bit in rights?
good effort, see you in a few weeks.........
Are you back in England or will this be 86 days in Font :o
-
 awesome effort that unc its better than loads of bouldering videos i've paid for
-
I've downloaded this but the picture is unwatchably jerky (sound is fine). anybody any fucking ideas?
-

Get a better computer (or better graphics card at least) ::)
-
better computer? this thing is probably 3 years old, thats virtually brand new!
any more suggestions? for example some freeware that i can burn this onto DVD-player-able DVD.
-
I downloaded the HD player that Uncle linked to (VLC media player). It was a fast download and works perfectly.
-
better computer? this thing is probably 3 years old, thats virtually brand new!
Thats out-of-date according to Moore's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore%27s_Law) (Gordon, not Patrick).
Another alternative to VLC is mplayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html) which also has the x264 codec thats required.
-
I've already got the VLC player, it does the same as quicktime. if its a performance issue then no other software is going to do it any different, shirley?
is there any way I can save it to cassette and play it on my Acorn Electron?
-

Picture quality is very jerky on mine, though watchable it is making me a bit nauseous!
Edited to say just downloaded VLC and it works bob on :great:
-

Dave, sorry to hear your computer is so behind the times. However, there is another option. Send an email to film at unclesomebody.com with your address and I'll send you a copy. However, I just posted an SD version to AndyB so you could just borrow and then copy that version. It might be quicker and also saves me postage etc. However, let me know if you want your own O.G. copy and I'll send you one.
-
Likewise Dave, this is the first time I've had my computer struggle, depite routinely working on 100mb photos etc.
I've found its better if I shut down everything else, wiggle the mouse occasionally to stop the screensaver waking up, and pause it for a while if it gets jerky.
I'd far rather be watching it on a 30" TV from the comfort of the sofa looping Partage on the remote though - is there going to be a normal DVD version?
-
Nice work brad, if i bring you off can i get a copy?
-
should be more than easy enough to convert it to dvd.
The best option is to play it through a media pc onto a 37"+ 720 telly in its original format
-
Adam; Your SD copy shall arrive tomorrow with the post. Enjoy.
Doylo; I'll bring a copy over to wales with me next week.
Jim; I made this film with only you in mind. In fact, I think I want to come and watch it at your house!
-
make sure your there at the weekend (otherwise you know what will happen ;))
-
This looks rad I will download it during the day while I'm at work. if that fails i'll wait for the DVD version. inspired me to get some of my footage together which is scattered between old Super 8 cassette footage and stuff from various digi cameras. Nice work!
-
just downloaded a more recent version of VLC and its fine now - SO FUCK YOU GUYS, my computer is good enough. in your face girlfriend.
-
Just in case, I had the jerkiness as well but seems to work proper with Media Player Classic.
Film was great, btw.
-
SD version arrived this morning, thanks Keith. Fantastic on the big screen with proper sound, so much so I watched it all again.
-
Great Vid Uncle........ :great: Very inspiring stuff, and some good camera angles....
Like the dancing spotting by Ned and Newman on Misericorde....
-
IMPORTANT
I'm now having issues with my hosting company, basically because I saturated the 100mbit line which I'm supposed to be "sharing". In the meantime, whilst it's being rectified, I'd really appreciate if some of the people who have the film could start seeding this torrent; http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4308355 (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4308355)
The torrent consists of only the film, so download the torrent, point it to your copy of the film, and it should work a treat. If it doesn't work, please let me know. I'm seeding right now, and will be doing so 24/7 but I'd appreciate the help to get it seeded well for a few days.
Thanks.
-
Errrr... What?
Happy to help, but not sure what to do. Not torrented or seeded before.
A few dummies pointers and I'll try and help....
-
I'll try to make it as simple as possible.
First, download utorrent from http://www.utorrent.com/ (http://www.utorrent.com/)
Then install it, and fire it up.
Secondly, go to this URL http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4308355 (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4308355) and download the torrent.
When it asks you where you want to save the file, navigate to the folder than already have your downloaded file in it. Then it will recognise you have it, check it, then start seeding it.
Simple!
Thanks Nik.
-
I've tried, dunno if it's worked or not....
-
Seeded at home, will do the same at work tomorrow where the connection is much faster (and on 24/7).
-
might be worth noting that the file name needs changing (or it did it my case?) from TheOutsiderHD.mp4 to "The Outsider final.mp4"...
It seems to be working here.
-
same here had to rename as PaulB said but appears to be working no one connected yet but in Azureus vuze, can see currently 4 seeds and 18 peers.
Cheers
Tim
p.s. got DVD's today at work thank unc.
-
Thanks for the help, and good job paul on noticing the file name change. I missed that information in the rush of trying to post it up... I need a dedicated line straight into the heart of the internet.
-
seeding with success.
-
uncle,
it's probably worth putting that torrent link on your site and informing 8a.nu? I bet that would reduce the traffic.
cheers
Tim
-
Just started seeding too. I'd take the download off your host site altogether and leave it torrent only. THe amount of seeds should mean reasonable throughput and no bandwidth overhead for you. Sometimes, I am right about these things ;)
-
I don't think I've got this set up right.
Sorry for being an idiot.
If my seed or torrent or whatever is needed then I'll have a play, but if you have enough seeds/torrents etc then I probably won't bother as:
a) I'll only really use it for this
b) it will take me ages
So let me know if you need me to sort it, otherwise I'll save myself the frustration.
Once again sorry.
-
Wouldnt worry too much beast, theres 15 seeding atm and 25 (or similar) in the leech cloud. Seeing upload throughput of 51kBs at mo.
-
Nik, you're efforts are appreciated, but I wouldn't worry about it now.
I'm leaving the direct link up because I have fixed the hosting problems. It should work fine now. There is still potential for total saturation but the ceiling has been raised and I now have more control over that point. Obviously this came at a price but the price was small and I can use it only for a few weeks then return to shared hosting.
I blame it on 8a.nu! The guy who posted it up there had the best of intentions (and I appreciate it) but it slayed my server. If I'd had notice that it was going up on there I could have done this beforehand.
-
Im seeding too. Cheers. Si.
-
A friend convinced me to buy Momento under the understanding it was the bouldering equivalent of ROAM and I personally found it very disappointing.
Despite L'Étranger being almost entirely shot on a tripod the end result is ace!
good work :great:
-
Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed :please:
-
great stuff keith. i'm psyched.
-
Nice work - some of the shots are amazingly well composed, also great to be able to watch it in HD!
-
A friend convinced me to buy Momento under the understanding it was the bouldering equivalent of ROAM and I personally found it very disappointing.
I can imagine why! Chalk and Cheese!
-
Got round to watching this today and was really impressed by how well you have edited this and the climbing was awesome loads of psyche excellent stuff
-
Watched last night. Very good! Well done to the man from UNCLE.
-
Excellent job Mr Uncle, I'll have to send a small token of my appreciation. I hope I'm not alone in that.
I have got a problem playing it on VLC on one machine though (1 out of 3 - the others are fine). The frame rate is fine but it all looks overexposed/yellow. Anyone else had that? It's not the film. I did google for some vlc help but it made my head hurt.
-
Did you get my payment Unc?
Awaiting some visual pleasure
-
i finally watched it yesterday night and it completely spoilt my sleep. excellent stuff really.
also, i was afraid that uncle had put, for the love of truth, also footage of my failure on the problems we tried together: luckily he's a nice guy and didn't.
-
Quality film, very well shot and amazing clear images got me ridiculously psyched to go to font :'(
-
Woops, been trying to dowload the direct link but it's slooooow.
So I'll be nice and do it the torrent way then seed it for a while. (how long is a reasoanble time to seed for? i can't seed at night as my pooter is too damn noisy and I can't sleep) :boohoo:
I've already downloaded about 40% of it direct, is there any way I can continue on from there with the torrent, or would I have to start from scratch?
-

See comments further down this thread about renaming the file.

Its usual not to seed for a specified period of time, but rather until your ratio of uploads to downloads is > 1 (i.e. you've essentially uploaded at least one copy of that which you've downloaded). Your Torrent client should be able to tell you the ratio at any given time of a torrent that is being seeded (and note that you can have a ratio > 1 whilst your still downloading).
-
Just watched this last week, good work uncle. A great film.
Couple of cool points; etranger conforms to the e=s rule if you want an english translation (like ecole and epice).
In Ned Feehally's bit the shadows form the image of Jesus on his forearm while he is doing the problem (might need to view on HD).
Bizzare, but definitely there. Maybe he gained divine guidance at that point?
-
That's not 'the image of Jesus' its 'the shadow of Keith'!
-
He doesn't look a bit like Jesus.
-
How can you be so sure!?
-
Everyone knows 'Gee'sus is bald
-
He talks like a gentleman
Like you imagined when you were young
-
Finally got round to watching this last night (I downloaded it ages ago, but I'm guessing that one of my kids hid the disc - anyway, found it amongst a load of music cds).
A fine effort Keith and remarkable considering that much of the camera work was done solo. As JB said, your eye for framing a shot is impressive. I loved the subtle touches of humour and the intensity of the harder ascents too.
Also loved the music, and can thoroughly recommend the Insignificance album which the Jim O'Rourke track came from, one of my favourites of recent times.
http://www.amazon.com/Insignificance-Jim-ORourke/dp/B00005R5L6 (http://www.amazon.com/Insignificance-Jim-ORourke/dp/B00005R5L6)
I read the stuff on your blog about the percentage of people who made a voluntary contribution - I guessed 5%; I asked Ray Wood and he said 15%. How wrong we were.
-
Have any / many more donations filtered through since you calculated those statistics Keith? I guessed that about 20% would make some sort of contribution. Miles out!
-
Maybe your not soooo far out Jasper, I had 2-3 failed downloads and so did a number of other people looking at the comments
-
That still doesn't turn 20% into 1% though does it.
-
In total, up until today, 41 people have donated. The film was actually hosted on bleau.info too and they've told me that it's been watched over 2000 times since it was put on there. I estimate that over 2000 people have downloaded it from me, via torrent, or via another website that it was hosted on. This is a conservative estimate based on the fact that some people would have had failed downloads. It doesn't take a genius to do the maths, but the donation percentage is still around 1%.
I'm happy that lots of people saw it, which was ultimately more important to me than trying to make any money. This certainly won't be the case for my next film... which I'm hoping will enable me to buy a house in the hills and spend the rest of my life sipping cristal and fingerboarding. ;)
-
sipping cristal and fingerboarding. ;)
C'mon Keith, you will have to find time for some one armers as well.....
-
Hi Keith
Have just downloaded this from your site this morning and am looking forward to watching it with sound when I get home. Will head across now and use your donate button.
One question though, where is the download link for the non-HD version? I couldn't find it at all
Cheers
Roddy

sipping cristal and fingerboarding. ;)
C'mon Keith, you will have to find time for some one armers as well.....
:-\ errr... what? You mean you use 2 arms when you go on the fingerboard?
-
can i ask seriously why people thought that a fifth of people would contribute? this is not to get keiths back up, just a brief look into the human psyche
-
can i ask seriously why people thought that a fifth of people would contribute? this is not to get keiths back up, just a brief look into the human psyche
 more than I would have expected.
But I would have expected more than 1%, perhaps 3-5% and I would have expected most to have viewed it first then made a donation.
-
can i ask seriously why people thought that a fifth of people would contribute? this is not to get keiths back up, just a brief look into the human psyche
Lots of people pay Ł20 or so to watch Dosage 6 or E11 or whatever. To me, Keith's film is way better and more relevant than any of that shite so to not even bung him a couple of quid (which is NOTHING) to say nice one seems fucking rude. Perhaps assuming that four fifths of the climbing population are tightarsed, taking cunts who are happier receiving than giving ( :shag:) and a fifth not is far too optimistic. It seems so. And it's spelled SYKE by the way.
-
Lots of people pay Ł20 or so to watch Dosage 6 or E11 or whatever.
Apart from, by his own admission, Keith ;)

I can't wait!

Ha ha that ones definetly gunna get some donations
-
Downloaded the film last week and had the pleasure of viewing on Friday afternoon after work.
What a properly spankin' job on the video Keith
Some lovely scenes catching the Font ambience, as well as the beauty of the area.
Really enjoyed the battle with Gourmandise. Also I'd never clapped eyes on Parthage before :o fookin great line and well done on getting it last go.
Quite depressing how easy you made some of that look :-[
Made a wee contribution via yer site, well worth it.
edit - I would have given ya some + karma for it, but I still have my L plates on!

can i ask seriously why people thought that a fifth of people would contribute? this is not to get keiths back up, just a brief look into the human psyche
To me, Keith's film is way better and more relevant than any of that shite...
In what way do you think It's better? Just curious. Si.

Perhaps because Jasper is more focused on bouldering than hard trad (which Committed and E11 focus on, see preceeding sentence which gives context as to 'that shite')
-
Precisely. Not only is it about bouldering, it's about bouldering in my favourite place in the World and contains footage of lots of problems I would like to do. Can't get much more relevant to me than that. Oh and I think it's also "better" because it held my attention throughout, something I can't remember another climbing film doing for a while. :)

Jas, you're just gonna love the forthcoming film: "Alreet lad- 84 days in Lancashire". Grand.
-
Can't wait.
Is that going to be on general release or will it go straight to DVD the "How Not To Climb" Thread?
-
We were going to produce a font film to rival keith's, it was going to be a case of sticking the camera on a tripod and leaving it, called "Realtime: A week in Font" but the battery kept going, so we were missing vital seconds of footage.

Only in Art House Cinemas, cert 18.
-
Do I get a medal for the latest viewing of this?? Had it waiting since release, only just watched it.
It's good stuff. Very good quality filming and sound. Shows a pretty cool journey through Font. I like extra "colour" snippets (like the celebration sandwich), would like to have seen more of those. Music wasn't really my bag but consistent and high quality sound. However it's much louder than the commentary, I had to keep turning it up and down.

I see Keith's Branson film's won the top prize in a comptition on Cocktalk. Nice one. :beer2:

His blog and that news report shows he crushed Amber.
Nice one.

on an italian forum i post on, someone talked about keith's vid yesterday, and i said: yo, i'm innit, check it out!!!
well, from that very moment, i have been immediately granted with a "wad" status, and one even said "wow tu sei l'uomo del pugno!!" that means "wow you are the man of the fist" (after biceps mou).
i am famous now.
keith, on the other hand, is just a living legend.

I ran into some guy at Fata Morgana at Xmas. He said he had seen some video of a strong English guy latch the pocket on fata and pull through open handed. He said he thought the guy might have been called Keith.....
-
looks like sharples is stronger than we give him credit for.

And it's spelled SYKE by the way.
As in Syke and Cupid?

Could I be really cheeky and ask if some more people could seed the torrent? I left it downloading all night and only got 60mb.
Thanks

ask if some more people could seed the torrent?
Is this some sort of euphemism? Disgusting

Unless you can get several seeders its still going to be slow. I'll see if I can sort out seeding here but have shifted torrents from the computer to a headless unit and have had trouble re-seeding things I've already downloaded and moved to different locations.
Best bet is to grab the main file, still available on whatever server Unc's using.

Thanks to the two who have joined in on the party. However it seems that this has inspired others to download.
Remember the more the merrier :beer2:

I've seeded 17gb of l'etranger since I downloaded it, still seeding it today and I'll continue to seed as long as people continue to download it... :)
