Title: NEW Carrock Fell Guide
Post by: Greg C on April 23, 2012, 01:41:56 pm
I have put together a sizeable (24 page) new guide for Carrock Fell. Whilst researching over the last month or so I've done a fair few 'new' things too. I've written up a run down of these and put a link to the new guide on the site. Check it:

Brilliant crag.

Disclaimer: Dense don't go, you'll hate it.

That looks great. Well done Greg. I still haven't been to Carrock, but now I'm really keen. Leopold Von Buch looks excellent.

Thanks Robin. Good time to go at the moment - before the bracken kicks in. Leopold is indeed a top problem and in good nick at present.

Good stuff Greg. Even more psyched to visit than I was last week when I made plans to visit  :)

Has anyone got a super strength stapler? Nothing I've got in the office or at home can match the power needed to get staples through this tome like guide!

If the office has a big laser printer check in the options to see if there is a stapler built in, our HP9500 has this option. One caveat: the staple is very close to the paper edge and you cannot adjust the position. Bonus is it can staple stuff beyond my manual (weak) human ability so I use it to staple service designs/OLAs etc up to around 30-40 pages

Yeah sorry about that, I did test it with my stapler and it got through ok, but figured this may be an issue for those with a punter of a stapler  ;) There is a way around it: you can make it into two roughly equal volumes by splitting it at the "North Central Group", which is approximately halfway through the guide.

Even staplers need projects to work on.

I've used the previous guide for this crag - it was great. As was the crag. Amazing setting and really cool rock. Reminded me of Skye!

I hope it's not my house. I hate kids.
