Hi all, long time lurker but my first post. A lot of the Merseyside climbers know me, and I'm probably now considered as someone who used to climb.
I found this over on coach rip's Twitter and thought some of you might like to ponder it. If I'm welcomed I might get over on the deadlift forum as I'm a climber who started lifting a year ago. :)

Of course you’d be welcome, the DL forum is a happy place :2thumbsup:
That link is way too many words tho - what’s the executive summary??

I read it, and the references to the nonsensical "Map" gave me a Brass Eye flashback:
"If you plot 'number of animals abused' against 'what makes people cruel' versus 'intelligence of either party', the pattern is so unreadable that you might as well just draw a chain of fox heads on sticks. And if you do that, an interesting thing happens: the word 'cruel' starts flashing. So - are we cruel to hunt foxes?"

Yeah, it was an opinion piece so I wouldn't hold the map as something to revere. I thought it was of interest as I like seeing how others, in this case a Crossfitter, try to apply some principles to climbing. And also to fitting climbing into other sports programs.
