Title: Stiff fingers after training - why?
Post by: Muenchener on September 12, 2014, 03:37:09 pm
I did a bouldering and campusing session last night. Today my fingers feel stiff and I have difficulty making a fist. This is fairly normal for me after climbing training sessions and I'm just idly wondering what causes it. Fingers after all don't contain any muscles (I have a little bit of post-training soreness in my forearms but not much) Presumably something in the fingers is slightly inflamed from having been put under stress, but what?  :-\

Anything, everything. Inflammation in the joint capsules, tendon sheaths etc. Sounds quite extreme though if its after every session.

Not every single session, it's more cumulative if I've been training a lot and neglecting massage & stretching.
