Tue - AM as usual.
...Board fitness increased by 100%, this inevitably means that problems' difficulty must have decreased by 100%, because the glass is always, always half empty.

Hah!

Remind me, what's the usual AM routine? Still committed to the no rest days protocol?

Is she not meant to be training for the Olympics?
Get her of Burden

Presumably this was a recovery ride on a rest day...

Or the best pre-Olympic "flex" in climbing history.

As per JB, if braking makes it go down it's more likely to be bearings.

One thing you could try, at very minimal cost, is a diff fluid exchange and analysis. Should be easy enough DIY, and quite cheap at a garage.

Analysis can be free (look at oil, see if it's full of metal shiny particles/chunks etc.).

If you are planning on keeping it a while, worth doing gearbox oil at that age too. Manufacturers don't put gearbox oil in their service schedule, but it really isn't a "life long" fluid, unless you want the car life to equal the gearbox life...

If the diff was going, new fluid would shut it up for a while. If it then turns out to be bearings, your diff will last even longer.

Sounds like the bearings to me. I've had two replaced in the last year or so on my Audi, would do it sooner rather than later as they are not expensive and replacements should see you out, while I had to pay for the epic labour to drill the corroded bolts out at 16 yrs/ 150k. The remaining two are now making similar noises as you describe but not as loud - they checked them for play at recent MOT and said they were fine.

Fool me Once I'm really enjoying this despite a storyline which stretches credulity at times. It's sufficiently compelling to keep me watching at least; Joanna Lumley is remarkably good at playing a nasty old matriarch. It's on Netflix.

Also, never been so nervous about downloading files from a memory card ever before. Might do it one by one....

I'd recommend not putting sika on a Pembroke trad classic. For context, routes and entire cliffs at Pembroke fall over from time to time, like the Public Enemy area at St Govan's. All part of the fun. I don't know of any examples of holds being reinforced with sika at Pembroke previously - if they have been, the sculptor has probably kept quiet about it.

Power Club

Mon  - shoulder static holds, hell on earth, Ioved it. Bentover rows, high pulls.
Tue - AM as usual; PM board climbing, did the problem I'd set the previous session, then set and climbed another one. Board fitness increased by 100%, this inevitably means that problems' difficulty must have decreased by 100%, because the glass is always, always half empty. Back work.
Wed - DL 531 week 4. Training max 138 kg. TRX.
Thu - AM as usual; PM shoulder static holds heavy.
Fri - AM as usual; PM GM 5x5 110kg with pause, bentover rows.
Sat - AM as usual.
Su - regular weights.
