Title: Cycling Static strength and explosive power training
Post by: semaj on October 08, 2013, 12:45:05 pm
With the boulders calling once again I'm wondering the best way to train explosive and static power and strength, Overall my explosive strength is pretty good but I'm weaker on the lock off than i would like.  based on a 3 month training cycle of 3 days of training with two volume days climbing does anyone have any suggestions. Initially i would like to focus on strength but then not neglect explosive power too much. I typically follow the Lopez finger strength plan for maximum finger strength so if anyone has way that encompass this that would really help.

Just to clarify: what do you mean by a three months cycle? Would you like to be strong in 3 months from now? Are you willing to do concentrated loading (=getting weaker and weaker before supercompensation), or do you want to sort-of peak every other w/e?
