Ephemeral really is outstanding even as a non winter climber

Don't worry, I'll hopefully be in again for...

Also, hideously jarring choices of backing music. The sound of wind and small grunts is fine mate.
...soon.

(I wonder if the youtu.be style links keep the timestamp??)

Had an amazing week!......
It seemed like it was a popular week in Flaine for climbers with Leo Houlding and Steve McClure both being there.

Sounds ace. I've yet to hit Flaine on a great powder day, came close once, but Vernant was closed due to high wind, so hoovered up what we could in and around the Samoen / Morillon side (still tons TBF). Hard not to default to Praz de Lys though as it's usually dead quiet even on powder days and doesn't get tracked out. Worth a visit if you are nearby with a car.

As well as putting huge volumes for people to run on at the bottom of the same vertical wall as there are the interesting thin balancy crimp problems. TE take a bow.

Try Millhouses Fencing and Sheds on Archer Road. They were good when we used them last year.

I appreciated that the movie made it much clearer than the book that this is A Terrible Idea that will be Extremely Horrible

I wonder if those who've read to booked saw it in a different light, knowing what was going to unfold?

For me the descent into "the dark side" just seemed a bit parachuted into the end but maybe I just missed cues....

Yep it is! I watched it last night, there is also more from Britrock 3: Great Sheikhs, Skerag Solo. And Ephemeral from the latest collection. Would really recommend the last one, it's almost enough to make you want to go winter climbing.

Fall Theory, Al Lee’s film about Franco Cookson, narrated by this forum’s own Wil Treasure, is on Amazon Prime now apparently.
