Title: iPhone imagery + sorting
Post by: James Malloch on August 30, 2022, 09:06:13 pm
I only use my iPhone for photos and I therefore take too many (often of the same shot), don’t have any sorting of photos other than by date, etc etc. I also rarely look back at them as there are just so many.

Recently I’ve been craving an old 35mm film camera as I miss taking fewer photos, getting them printed, and actually looking back at them. I’m still tempted by one despite the high cost of film/printing.

However I wondered if anyone has any tips for successfully just using Apple devices for photography (I only have and iPhone and iPad).

Is it just a case of being regimented with using their Album structure? And maybe favourited for photos which you might want printing. Or are their good 3rd party apps which are worth looking into?

I currently have about 6,000 photos all in one “all photos” folder. So I thought it would be worth asking for any good methods which I could try to replicate before jumping in with some random sorting….

My aunt was dragged kicking and screaming into the digital era and now uses the Free Prints app to get photos which she keeps in albums. I've never used it, seems to god to be true, but they only charge postage
