Title: Reading UKBouldering on a mobile
Post by: rcl on January 14, 2020, 12:12:47 pm
How do people read the site on a mobile ? Do you just use a web browser or is there an app (android) people use ?

Web browser... Works on a variety for me with relatively few problems.

One thing I notice on mobile is when I click on a thread the little loading bar at the top (on chrome) gets stuck about 1/6th of the way and will not load or will take an age before eventually loading. BUT if I click the same link again the loading bar zooms across almost instantly and loads normally.

Thats what I use at the moment. I just wondered if there was a better interface.

If you think this is bad you should have seen it a few years ago pre mobile site! Tbh seems perfectly workable for me now on chrome.

There used to be a mobile app called Tapatalk that was required to make it usable on a mobile but updates to the forum in 2017 made that not only unecessary but also incompatible. It wasn't a smooth transition  :worms: but I find it perfectly fine on my phone which has a smaller screen than pretty much anyone else is still using.
