I'm afraid I have some extremely sad news to report:

-
 no way, only saw him a few weeks ago throwing laps on the barrel traverse. This was the only time I had met him but he seemed like a top bloke. this is very sad
-
Really sorry to hear that. Welsh climbing seems to have suffered more than it's fair share of losses this year. All the more tragic when those lost are so young.
-
What can you say at a time like this? :crying:
Will was a good bloke and a bloody good climber to boot. The old saying of the good die young is true. Thoughts are with his family and friends.
-
shit
-
my only experience of meeting Will was at ramshaw last autumn - a strong team was out (not including myself), stuff like tierdrop was getting lapped, and Sam W had just done the lefthand finish. visiting german tobias wolf was there at the end of his trip (its the day he fell off rays roof) and was busted - he looked drained. anyway Will was trying to repeat Sam's finish thing and had pretty much done it, i.e. he was pretty high, anyway his heel or summert slipped and he landed pretty much square on his only spotter - tobias (a shit load smaller than Will). i bet that smarted.
so, as well as being a big guy, i got the impression he was a sound guy and i'm sure he's already sadly missed.
i also echo bonjoy's sentiments. peace.

...makes no sense. Any news on what happened?
Just as he had taken the unofficial title of best climber in wales too...
Words fail me.
-
I think words have failed everyone in wales. There's no sense to be had really. Maybe see you on monday.

Really sad news. :(
Only seen him a couple of times, once soloing stuff at Tremadoc that we were struggling to lead.
A real shame.

does nobody know what happened? people dont just die! Especially not yunguns. :(
-
No idea - had a look at the Welsh news but didn't see anything.
Let's not have any speculation as to what happened on here though please everyone?
-
it was suicide. Very tragic.
-
Kinda guessed it would be.
Hope he's in a happier place now.

Just in case anybody missed this:

Ray Wood has also done an obituary in Climber, and I heard today that Stevie Haston is doing one for OTE.
