Hi all,
I'm (hopefully) going to be in Arisaig with family in August, and would like to find some family friendly climbing - ideal criteria are easy access (an easy walk in is ok but a nice safe area for toddlers to play by the crag), grades in the 5s and 6s for sport or equivalent trad/boulder, picturesque and good rock, within an hour or so of Arisaig.
Would love to hear recommendations from those who know the area - thanks v much in advance!

I've never climbed in the area other than a short play at DMac's cave so afraid cant help much, but the Glenfinnan sport crags sound like the most likely local option. Assume they're on UKC? And I think they're in the SMC Sport guide.
Next nearest sport I know of is Steall (higher grades and midge death).

If you're letting toddlers play around the base of any crag in that area I'd suggest a thorough tick check. Not been for over a decade but they were always bad round there so god knows what it's like now.

Thanks both. We may get a chance to get out without kids, good to have options for both scenarios but yes will definitely bear tides in mind

Ticks not tides.

No idea how I misread that :slap: it's been a long day... Cheers
