Title: Belay spectacles
Post by: Will Hunt on January 13, 2021, 10:46:56 am
I thought I'd treat myself to a pair. Prices range from £15 from Decathlon up to a whopping £85 for a pair of CU glasses. The middle ground seems to be covered by Y&Y who make a "Plasfun" version which you can get for £45 for navy blue, £55 for supa-fun Euro colours, or £65 quid for a pair of metal framed things.

Anyone used the Decathlon ones? Good enough? £30 extra is an awful lot to pay for a brand name.

I use the Decathlon ones. Big fan, unbeatable at the price.

If you're going "premium" then the Pitch Six adjustable ones are far better than normal ones IMO (https://pitchsix.com/products/belay-glasses-eyesend-adjustable-view), but are very expensive (you'll also get hit my customs charges probably).

I bought the Decathlon ones after losing my CUs, they're a bargain.

Another vote for the Decathlon ones.

I haven't tried the decathlon ones.

I have the Le Pirate ones which were £15 quite a few years ago. Looks like they are €20-25 now.

There's very little difference between them and the Y&Y glasses at 3 times the price.
