Title: Help needed for my Yamaha Tzr 125 R 1992
Post by: Nibile on May 17, 2020, 10:14:39 am
Yesterday, while I was doing the ton on a stretch of motorway, I apparently lost, probably due to vibrations, the cover of rear unit.
That small door that shuts the glove compartment.
I can't find it anywhere on eBay or otherwise.
If anyone bumps into one in shops or deep web, I'd love to know.
Thanks.

Can’t help with sourcing the part sorry, but seeing ‘Yamaha TZR 125’ brings back good memories! Used to have a red/white one around 1993   ;D

Thanks for the input, unfortunately it's no longer in production and available.

I'm confused about which part you need. ...By 'glove box' do you mean the rear seat compartment?

Anyway, loads of TZR parts on ebay uk and a bunch of them being broken to be sold for parts, so even if they are not listed might be worth contacting the breakers as they may have that part in a 'not-worth-anthing' pile. I have found some success contacting the breakers direct but if it's a small/cheap part sometimes they can't be bothered to look

Cheers Lopez.
Yes, it's the rear seat compartment cover.
I'll have another look in eBay for spare parts.
I've found one, but it's the wrong color and goes at 90 Euros...

Cool, so is it the rear cowl like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-TZR125-TAIL-PIECE-TZR-125-TAIL-PIECE-YPVS-SEAT-COWL-INFILL-PANEL-PROJECT/163966139670

The cover to make it single seat like this? http://www.classicracereplicas.com/Yamaha-TZR125-2MA-Solo-Seat-Cowl-Pad-New

Or the actual padded seat like this? https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Seat-Pillion-Yamaha-TZR125-4FL/303399367931?hash=item46a402f4fb:g:iIIAAOSwzpNcraw1

Unfortunately none of them, but thank you very much for searching!
It's the small panel (with keylock) that shuts the compartment that's under the passenger's seat.
It's part n. 10 in this page:
