Title: phpBB : critical error

Could not connect to the database

Been gettin it most times I connect to the forum, but Ctrl F5 usually sorts it. Anyone else getting it?

Not noticed it today - there were some glitches yesterday though.

I'll reboot the database server in any case as a precaution...

I'm getting this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 184320 bytes) in /www/vhtdocs/boulder/board/language/lang_english/lang_main.php on line 491

refresh cures it

Sorted now - it's a problem with php caches or summat - just needs a reboot of the webserver to sort it.

It'll happen whatever URL you use eventually - I really need to write a little daemon that'll reboot the webserver once every couple of days to stave this problem off.

May be upgrading the webserver soon in any case which should get rid of this problem altogether.
